Uh-oh...
i messed up....i think.
i took off the feed neck of my ion, and put on a shocktech feedneck. well, it turn and turns and turns, never getting tight. i put some loctite on it, but that didnt help either. the interesting thing is, when i tighten the clamp, it gets snug. but, it still bothers me that it isnt right.....any suggestions?

yeah, the threads might have ben mangled when you were taking the stock feedneck off, i hear SP put about a gallon of locktite on em and its a ***** to get off.
if the threads on the Shocktech clamper dont appear to be messed up, give Smart Parts a call, they understand that people are having problems with the threads and will probably see what they can do to fix the problem

OMFG! i am sooooo stupid.
well, after closer inspection.....the shocktech clamping feednack outer collar is supposed to spin. when installing, you are suppoed to clamp it shut, so tht it hold the internal part, making it one stiff piece.
where my mistake was....after getting it in fairly close to tight, the "fingernut" used to tighten the clamp with hits the body behind the neck. well, loosening the fingernut gave it clearance to spin...but no longer was it turning the internal part of the neck (the threaded part).
that just gave me a headache....

Omg, dude, I was going to ask if the thing was tight when I first saw this thread. I was doing that too when I first got my CCM, but I figured out what was going on.
