I would suggest a better reg. I am not impressed.
I also really like "thebetterone" trigger that I just installed.
other than that, maybe a barrel kit.
also I am not seeing HPA in your sig... That should be #1

Just get a 68/45. Anything less and you will eventually want the 68/45.

I am going to leave mine pretty much stock. Most of what I have read is that even stock that this is a fairly decent marker, especially for the level of play that I am at. i am not a tourney player, though I may hit a novice sometime. I just enjoy the sport. Farnkly it was teh price tag that led me towards it. Frankly, I spent the farm on the mag, so even if I wanted to upgrade, stock the Ion will have to remain.

I think you will love it medic. even stock it feels great, except that trigger. I have had a little trouble with the stock reg "slipping" pressure set wise. I was able to get it working what seems correctly again. but I am going to leave the CP on it for now anyway. The reg is nice and small and the feedneck is one of the best stock I have seen. my appache sits tight enough that I can hold the kit by the hopper and it doesn't fall. I have learned w/ EP guns that pressure is key, so I always use an on/off of some kind. that way you can get in the habbit of cracking the air on and watching the gauge. (blowing noids is a bad day) Most of these ups are universal and may be laying around. (or can be taken off a mag) with little or no out of pocket.
I mainly picked it up for its size, weight and ACE system. Enjoy

dont think he's some kid in his backyard cutting triggers with a hacksaw
he's very well known and makes great triggers for every gun out there.

high pressure is better....low pressure will most likely result in shootdown.
also, the ion should run at about 170-180

IMO ups for ion should be better reg, barrel, feedneck, trigger and an on/off if you want.

magnet return aside. the stock trigger is very flimsy and gives a "weak" feel. "thebetterone" is a very nice solid delrin trigger. Also it has no side to side play. I have a blade trigger for my impulse as well as an OTB frame, The OTB is also very flimsey and has alot of side to side blay. I don't know the guy making the triggers and have no endorsement, but I have tried it and would recomend it. ...have you? didn't think so.

As soon as I get bday money, the ion, is my next purchase. Like Medic said, for that price, you can't go wrong. I saw some vids, and I was amazed that it costs 285. I can't wait, but I'll have to buy a better hopper, also.
