I bet I can make an OTB frame fit it. I have a blow torch, hack saw, drill press, tap dye, and dremell. Not saying it would be pretty.... But I bet I could get it on there.
(don't worry I would wrap duct tape around the grip just for aesthetic value)

while OTB frames are pretty nice, i seriously dislike the feel and look of 90* frames.

But you should still definatly try it. It would at least be something interesting to look at.

i think the thread starter needs to read up some before he ever posts again. the ions frame only looks like its plastic becasue of the texture of the powdercoating.

how would you go about rigging the asa if you tried to hack an otb onto an ion jason?

well, It was kind of a joke, but I really think I could do it. I would just run a standard impulse or cocker asa, plug the ASA and tap it to fit the 10/32 of the banjo fitting. I would then cut the front of the cover off and hard mount the ASA to the body. Mill out a channel from the top of the ASA for the hose to feed the noid.Then its just a matter of lining up the trigger frame and making the board and noid fit.

It would really not be very practical.

Labbmonkey knows it metal, I think by "metalic" he ment anodized.

The stock frame is aluminum, powdercoated. They powdercoat to save money. If they annod everything, it would be a $500 gun. Sheese............

I know the Ion's frame is aluminum, I own one. What I meant by that was someone should make a 'metallic' looking grip frame, instead of the powdercoat.

meh, too poor. i barely just bought an ion, tank, and i got like $20 for a pack if i find one for that little. i needa job but no one hires 15 year olds.
