no. This is mode is what we commenly call "ramping" I beleive the stock setting is that when u are pulling 7bps on the trigger the gun will ramp up to 17bps and hold it there while u continue shooting 7bps.
It is adjustable by increments of 2bps so u can change it to ur liking.
I don't think the smaller tounries will allow rebound, but PSP and NPPL among other big divisions have rules governing reboud/ramp. There is basically a 15bps cap on any mode.

yes. if you look in the manual at the mode changing section it will tell you how. the gun comes in semi-auto mode out of the box btw.
as bobide said, ramping and rebound in this case mean the same thing, why smart parts called it rebound i will never know because its dumb and confusing to people.
to expound on what he said about legality, psp and cfoa are both switching to allow ramping in tourneys. the only stipulations are that it cannot shoot over 15bps, and that the first four shots have to be semi. so with the proper rof setting on the board the ion is fully cfoa and psp legal. as a matter of fact some friends just went down to SC today for a tourney and took their ions, fs, and my ion(for backup).

So basicly on semi auto it can only shoot 7 bps? Or were u just using that as an example. I just want to know if u can shoot 17 bps on regular semi auto.

Yes you can shoot 17 BPS on semi but i doubt that you will be able to pull the stock trigger that fast. Check out the ION upgrade thread for a link to THEBETTERONE's site. He makes some pretty good triggers i hear.

no, when using rebound mode and u are shooting 7bps the gun will then RAMP the bps up to 17 while u still shoot 7bps on the trigger.
yeah, semi goes to 17bps.
