CP, Torpedo, there are many.
But stock should do fine. I've heard +/- 6 to +/- 9... either way, that's good as far as stock regs go.

Once the reg is properly broken in, it should be fine. Somebody had the stock reg and a QEV and was getting +/- 2 at the chrono.

the range of feet per second it is likley to shoot over the chrono.
ie: in a string of balls you might get 283, 285, 284, 284, 286, etc etc.

bob long
I tried the tolpedo reg last night and it will not screw all the way up into gun for some reason. The screen in the gun is not stopping it either. Anyone else experiencing this problem. The reg will snug up but will not go all the way up inside gun.

yes, lots of people....what they usually do is stack 2 or 3 orings on the top of the reg to get it to seal better.

got a fix to my tolpedo fittage problem. Took some 220 and sanded the upper portion a little bit and presto, it goes right on in guys. No stacking orings or any of that nonsense. Worked way better than the stock regulator though. My question is should i get another spring for the bob long? its a stock reg and to my knowledge it probably has spring in it for a hp bottle and mine is the lp crossfire with the blue air fitting. Also how do you take a tolpedo apart?

the reg needs to be broken in, no reg will perform at its best right out of the box.... just try it out... shoot a lot of air through it before you go play. if you still have a problem after a few times playing, then get a new one, but dont buy a new one without ever testing it out
if you end up do buying a new reg, go with a CP
