Ion Pressure
I just bought a new ion and am having problems. There is some air leaking from the trigger area which I think is because of a lose hose. Also I can not get the pressure down to 200 psi. Right now it is at 220 but i cant tighten the regulator anymore. Any advice?

Which direction raises the pressure? When I would tighten it the pressure would lower.
With the hose problem, how do you take the hoses out? Im afraid to pull.

You blew a hose because you didn't bring the reg down before you aired it up the first time.

I havent found any information in the manual on how to disconnect the hose. If you see anything in there please give me a page number.

well, if you are disconnecting it from the barb on the noid, just pull it off. if you are disconnecting it from the banjo fitting, hold the little collar tight against the fitting, and pull the hose off. (it works like a quick release).
also, if the black nut on the bottom of the reg is touching the bottom of the reg (no threads showing), it is completely off.
when adjusting your pressure, you need to dry fire about 10 times to get the pressure to reflect properly on the gauge.
if your gauge reads anything but "0" when youi have it all the way off, it is most likely broken and you need a new gauge.

Well my friend was just posting on my account but we got the hose off then replaced it even though the hose that came with the gun said 125 psi on it? When we put the hose back on he messed up putting it back together by not lining up the wholes. So he just decided to take it back and pick up another one(at gander mtn) because we didnt have time to fully test it out. We were kinda afraid to dry fire with the leak, we wernt sure what would happen but it was reading 220 with the nut all the way in. We'll see if he has better luck with a new gun.

cheat, it sounds like your gauge is broke....are you sure you have the black nut turned all the way in? cuz, reading 220 when its supposed to be "0" is real bad.

Yeah he took it back and found out that a part of the reg was installed wrong or upside down or something . So he took it back got a new one shot a little threw it and then the next day the guage blew and and the needle was facing straight down. So he took it back again dude was real cool and gave him a brand new gun, switched over the blue, gave him a free fill, and a case of paint for the trouble.

wow, i wish i had a shop like that close to me.....
jinco - SP gauges arent the best. coupled with the fact that the reg adjustment is threaded opposite of most regs, a lot of people blew their gauges right out of the box, not one shot fired...
