Air tank on Ion

Can i connect an air tank directly to my ion? or do i need a regulator or sum other device too.

Im ordering an ion and a 48cu/3000psi tank with it. Will the tank fit straight in to the marker??

Thanks in advance

How can someone who knows so little about paintball and paintball guns be getting an Ion?

To answer your question yes it can directly connect to your Ion.

Guys hes just askin a question...The ION comes with a regulator on it already, if it did not you would not want to connect the air, but since the ION has a regulator it is just fine.

you cant just take the ion out of the box and air it up, you gotta set the reg to 0 by turning the nut that connects to the macro line all the way down, and then slowly turn it the other way until its at like 200

i envy people who get an ion as the first gat

MAKE SURE TO LOWER THE REGULATOR BEFORE GASING UP!! or else u will blow the gauge. I mean lower it by turning the adjustment screw on the reg so when u attach the tank u get 0psi. Then slowly raise the reg to the proper pressure. Everything else should be in the manuel.

Any other questions, doesn't hurt to start a thread

You can use co2, you're gonna want anti-siphon tho, reduced hand freezing to reg problems.

Setting up the marker with the HPA tank will be outlined in the manual right?

I already have a 20oz CO2 tank. If I buy an anti-syphon....do u guys recommend that I use it with an Ion? I mean i heard that its safe to do so, but should I risk it?

it is not recommended to use co2 w/ an ion because co2 is very "dirty" and can mess up the internals, but if you do go with co2 you must use an anti siphon tank
just save up like 80 bucks and buy the cheapest nitro tank there is

*note that Nitrogen is N2, Nitrous Oxide is N2o (the stuff in cars)

I wouldn't use anything smaller than a 68/4500. The Ion likes air. and lots of it.

Ok i'm getting an Ion on thursday and I dont want to mess it up, do you spin the bolt all the way counter clockwise (looking at the bolt, bottom of the gun) or all the way clockwise?

im not sure if it clockwise, or counter clockwise....but i know that if the black nut is "tight" against the bottom of the reg, the pressure is cut off.

I'll also search, but what tanks do you guys recommend? And if you buy new, does it really matter if it is a Crossfire or Nitro Dusck? Dont they all have the same life expectancies before testing req?

there are the same regulations on all tanks. The biggest difference between tanks is, 1)recharge rate (of the regulator, this is how quick it can begin putting out the same pressure it started w/) 2) weight of the tank 3)customer service. Crossfire has the best regs out there, and some pretty good service.

Also, u could of just edited instead of double posting.
