ill give you that .....it was a pointless comment but what i was trying to get across was that it can hold it own against a lot of guns that cost almost twice as much......dang ppl take stuff so seriously.

i wasnt really trying to be an ass....my point is that most guns suck stock, and many parts are replaced eventually. the same goes for plenty of $1000+ guns....

^I wish an ion was as good as that girl wou...I mean.
Yeah the ion isnt very good stock, now once you get all those replaced, then you have a good gun on your hands.

may i say it? holy s*** guys, keep it down. it isn't a mag vs. ion war, it's a "what other guns compare to the ion in the $300 range". shame on u all
but anyways, a bko or any type of bushmaster WITH PDS is a great gun. i have never shot an ion, but i have picked one up and played with the trigger. they are light, and the trigger seems fast, but i still doubt the strength of the outer shell. don't overlook spyders, no matter what anyone says. my friend has a silver bullet, and he can rock that thing like no other. it has a nice trigger and a nice design. i think you should take a look at the new electra, comes with an antichop bolt and rocking trigger. and of course, you've got the mags. great thing about them is that they can be made from a 68 classic to a rt pro or what ever else u want. almost everything on them is interchangable with the other ones, so even if you start with a 68 classic, u can put an x-valve and level 10 on it, drop in a ult kit, and you've got a good gun that won't be ruined by water like most electros will. as a plus with mags, they are very simply designed (plus or minus, you decide).
in conclusion (  ) it's all up to you. my suggestions;
b2k4 (or 5) with pds
ion
x-valved mag (non-electro, great feature)
spyder electra 05 (seriously check it out)

shame on me?
i dont think so....most all the ups for an ion arent even performance upgrades...feedneck, grips, drop, ASA/rail/uni, none of those help out. as far as barrel, reg: those two are also vanity mods...the stock barrel shoots just as good as any aftermarket barrel i have trid, and the reg needs proper lubing to function within the capacity of 97% of the regs out on the market right now. a QEV is the only thing that even relates to performance, but then again, it doesnt make you gun shoot faster, increase accuracy...all it does is turn the ion into a more air efficient gun, not that it really needs it w/o qev i get over 1000 shots per tank.
anyways...
dont even bother comparing a blowback with an ion.

not trying to get u mad or anything, but ppl are too closed-minded when it comes to stacked tubes. i mean, come on, the dragun and the one were good guns. yeah, they had some major problems with some of them, but they were good guns. and if u upgrade a stacked-tube the way you upgrade other guns, you could have a quick, light, paint throwing beast. take any stacked tube, put in a lp kit, a regulator, a delrin bolt, electronic grip and eyes, and a good barrel, and you could have something that rivals and angel.
yeah, i said it, and i know people are going to get angry with me because of it, but a nicely upped spyder could very easily rival a angel or a timmy.
and onesikpup, i'm sorry, i didn't mean to offend u, i was just inferring that maybe we should stick on subject (yeah, i just contradicted myself) and help out the thread starter. that's all.

dont worry...im not angry....i spent over $600 on my last gun, a piranha. and it never even came close to an ION or any other marker on that level. sure, you can do all the fancy crap to a blowback, but it still will never compare bko, impy, or w/e mid end you can think of. it can get close, i suppose, in the right persons hands, but no mater what you do to it, the efficiency, adjustability, and the durability wont even be there. yeah, you can make one sling 20 bps (maybe), but for all that money, you shouldve bought a proto, angel, timmy or w/e.
i think the thread starter had his answer a long time ago...we (the last few posters) are just argunig our opinions and semantics....i aint got nothin better to do, thats the only reason im even responding to what you said.

whew, i thought u were mad. i do agree with you, although it is possible to upgrade a spyder, it'll never be as good as a higher end (and u waste alot of money). i was just trying to make a point sorta. stacked tubes aren't evil, but compared to a higher end, they can't compete
