My complaints:
1) As with everyone, the duckbill is awfull. Get rid of it immediately. For me (who hates drops) I put a short drop and a CP on/off.
2) Very delicate internals. Eye board and wiring harness are very easy to damage if you are not carefull.
3) Pnuematic hoses are inexpensive and seem to need replacing frequently. I have had 2 major leaks after dis/reassembly (and I am damn carefull with the whole process) where I have had to replace the pnuematic hoses. Once, I had the connection to the banjo fitting fail, and the other was the input barb at the noid.
4) I HATE the on/off switch. The thin membrane that holds the jewel seems as if it will fail after nominal use. I have to use my thumbnail to activate it.
5) Feedneck (stock) sucks. Its ok, but putting a low rise clamper on it is almost a certainty.
6) Regulator cover on stock marker is loose. I had to put some tape over the reg body to keep the plastic cover from spinning.
7) Manual is misleading and not complete.
8) They tell you to lube the marker but give you no lube in the 'parts kit' that comes from SP.
Now, while those are numerous 'complaints' I would have to say that my ION is by far one of the better midrange markers that I have ever used. Right out of the box it was fairly decent, but with some slight modifications for easier useability, the marker does what I ask of it, and it is reliable, light, and for the most part attractive.
For less then $300 bucks, its all that, and a bag of chips too.
