Hello fellas My friend has offered me a Impulse with a freak kit barrel and a 4550 nitro tank with a max flo, and that all i can tell that its got, i dont know impulses and i dont wanna open her up with out a user manual , i think its got the vision , not sure though...
hes askin it for 300 bux but im sure i can talk him down cause that was the 1st offer, as of right now i have the gun

the thing is i cant figure out what year the gun is cause it looks like i would say 3 years old, but i have absolutly no clue, should i buy the gun or not? my theory was the max-flo was worth 250 so y not pay 50 bux more and get all the other stuff? should i or not, pics will be added asap

Is the max-flo a nitrogen tank? Like the maxflo attachs to the frame and a tank comes out of it?? If so (and the gun have vision) then this is a deal. A freak kit (w/ inserts right? Not just the barrel and 1 insert?) vision, and a nitrogen tank, for 300 is N-I-C-E. It would be a good deal at $350.

If it doesn't have vision. No biggie, just buy a WAS board and get the eyes that come w/ it.

Don't worry about not having a manuel. This gun has been out forever and any sp tech can fix it. Also, pbnation has a large community of imp users would would love to help (and i bet they've made some nice guides also)

^^^^^if u get a Maxflo + Freak... then its a really nice deal man! go for it...

Freak KIT: 70
Impulse: donno, but im 100% sure, u wont get it for 70.

160+70+70=300 so its a nice deal!

Get us some pictures of the gun. That would make it alot easier. Oh well, go for it man. If its the whole freak kit that would be good. If its only the barrel, eh...Its still a good barrel, but you would have to buy inserts or just use the same bore size paint? GL. And happy birthday!

If not, then probly not a good deal. Devils_soul is right about pricing though, if thats a full freak kit and an in hydro maxflow tank, thats a good deal.

you can tell the year by the serial #. basicly there was no production run for each year, they just stopped at a certain point, changed some things and started back up. So find out what serial # it is and look on the kamworld page listed in the sticky.

you can tell if its vision if it has a vision cover, and an eye under it. Remove the detent to take the cover off. (right side) If there is no cover, then its not vision. If there is a small plastic cover next to the detent, then its "Vision ready" and can have an eye installed. If its not vision ready, then I would consider passing. you will spend way to much on the gun to modernize it. (unless you want to short sell it for $100 and keep the freak and maxxy) good luck

Good News, i Jumped the gun ... hehe or bought it and yea its got vision and its also got 3 piece barrel freak kit but just one color change thing, then i got the nitro tank , im not 100% sure if the Max-Flo off, i went to a pro shop (paintball atlanta) and they said it needed a new feed neck thats it but i spent the money on a new tank cover and a new drop forward cause i couldnt get the tank on, and a new grip... in the long run im paying my friend 250 bux for the gun and hes also most likly going to give me a dye boomsticked tricked out OLD school spyder lol, o well 250 i didnt mind, but here the catch when i took the tnak into the pro shop its a 68/4550 cool eh?! well no its date thingy is 2000 therefor the tank is a lil old and it needs to be retested but the guy at the store was like ive only ever seen one tank not pass the test cause it had gotten burnt with blotorch or somesort. so im think im in good hands, again i apologize i do not have pics yet, but its looking nice, i was going to go with a pink and black color scheme but i bought a blue and black dye tank cover so i also got a blue sticky smartparts grip, next i believe im going with a new feedneck, new reg, tapeworm; o ya i broke the hopper, so i gotta get a new one, ran it over doing donuts in driveway.....

i mean im happy but im just makin a back up gun, i went to the pro shop and held the DM5 .... ya im getting one down the road fo sure.. or a DMC omg... well thanks

Yeah, tanks can last 15 years then they must be destroyed for safty reasons. Glad the gun turned out to be everything u thought it was. Make sure to check the impulse upgrade stickys. Lots of help about what's good up orders, and what parts are worth it.
