Do shockers run well on CO2?

I heard that a shocker could run on CO2 with no problems because it is such a low pressure (200-250psi i think...). Because of the low pressure, liquid CO2 isn't a concern. Is this bull or legit?

I wouldnt do it.

If you are going to buy a Shocker I think you can spend a little more and get a hpa tank.

general rule of thumb...
any gun with an elcronic solenoid has very small orings that will be damaged much faster just by the colder operating temperature of co2. for that reason alone, its not finacially worth it. for about the same price you could buy a decent HPA tank or new solenoid.

next is performance. in hot weather co2 is ok, but still not that great. in warm or cold weather, its terible.

so to answer your question, could it work? technically yes. would it be wise? practical? advised? HE77 NO!!!

To put it as simply as possible:

NO

You would definately not be happy with the performance. Your consistancy would go down the drain

Thanks guys, the only reason I asked was because this guy I work with was going to sell me his paintball stuff. He's going to college and can't find time to play anymore so for $250 he would give me his Shocker (year and make unknown), a motorized hopper with air assist, pod pack and pods (3 or 5, i can't remember), 3 barrels (unknown make), and his air tank (he thinks its CO2 but isn't sure). I think its a pretty good deal, but I'm still going to go to his house and take some pics of the stuff. He never got that into paintball so he's not too sure on the specifics of all of it. Do you guys think that this is a good deal?

He said that he hasn't played in about 3-4 years so I'm thinking that the shocker was made in 2000-2001....

1. A shocker can run on co2, BUT it must be anti-syphoned.
2. You are not getting a new style shocker, but the old style.
3. I woudl try working him lower.

What's the "old style"? How does it compare to the "new style"? What is the "old style" gun worth? Is it even worth looking at?
