Impulse Lingo and What does it mean?

I have been reading a lot of reviews and things for the WAS board and i am getting intimated (no pun intended). I do not understand what all of this FSDO actually means beside what it stands for, and this debounce, and dwell mean.

Can anyone help me out on what this stuff means and its significance to the marker, and how important it is to tweak these settings?

The WAS board is an electronic board designed by wicked air sportz, the latest version enables you to have psp and nxl legal ramping.

FSDO is first shot drop off, this means that your first shot after a few minutes of inactivaty will have a low velocity.

Debounce settings help eliminate bounce in the trigger. Bounce is when you pull the trigger once and it registers the pull more than once and therefore shoots more than once.

Thanks those were the only things i knew though ... i was wondering how significant they are to the marker, because someone told me to never mess around with my dwell. Yet i still don't exactly understand what dwell does and how to prevent the FSDO and how to adjust the debounce.

Another thing i was wondering was what is the Rate of Fire cap that i am seeing on the WAS board?

check out the kamworld page linked in the ultimate sticky. it will describe most of this in refference to the stock boards. basicly there are a couple different causes for FSDO, the was board regulates the power differently and "eliminates FSDO".
Dwell is the durration that the hammer is told to hold the valve open (in milliseconds)
longer dwell allows for lower pressure operation but may lower efficiency.
shorter may get better efficiency but not be as consistent.
The best thing that you could do would be to write down what all your settings are now, so you can play with it and always have a "known working good" setting.
go check out the sticky, that page has some really cool stuff about your impulse.

On the WAS board you can adjust the rate of fire cap through the trigger. On the new cricket boards (the stock board) im pretty sure the rate of fire is capped at 20.

Dwell can be adjusted on the WAS board through the trigger. On the cricket board there are two buttons on the side that you push to adjust it. One is to raise it, the other is to lower it. These buttons can be used without taking apart the marker.

For instructions on the steps to adjusting the dwell on the WAS board, you need to read the WAS board usage manual
