Ok, Heres the deal, I have the chance to get a shocker for 200$. But, to be completely honest, I know nothing about them. I can tell you its only a couple years old, has been treated very well, and has a squarish body. Im currently using a Tippy 98c and looking to upgrade, is this a good deal? The guy that owns it is honest and I dont think he would rip me, but im ignorant when it comes to shockers so I dont know

any help would be appreciated, I need to decide by this weekend. Thanks!

he's selling u a shocker sport. It's the older version of the shocker and is not the small single tube design that u see most ppl refer to as a shocker.

It's an okay price for the gun. They can't get over i think 15bps due to how the operate.

Bobide is correct. While it is a step up from your tippmann, it is a rather outdated marker with limited potential.

One of my friends has one. It is an alright gun, but isn't very fast. It is a tank as well, very bulky.

Like said before, its an alright price for it, but if you can talk him down a little, do it. It's better than a Tippmann, but you will still want a better gun after a while.

so what kind of upgrades are there for it? is it going to be a complete waste of money? At this point I have no intention of sinking the kind of dough it takes for an angel or somthing, but I would like to be a little more competitive than my tippy allows without a stupid amount of upgrades.

you can get turbo board for it that helps some. but my recommendation is to get an ion with your 200 dollers.

although i love my shocker (04), i really dont like the older models. like roadkill said, they have little potential.

The older ones a just too big and heavy. Like everyone said. Go with an ion or similar gun.

Maybe I havnt looked hard enough, but wheres an ION for 200$? theyre goin on ebay for 300+...what about an autococker trilogy? Tomorrow is the day im going to decide on the shocker, im gonna take it for a "test drive" first, I figure if i get it, i can always sell the tippy and use that for another gun. oh, and Im not looking for perfection, just somthing I can woodsball and speedball without changing my whole setup.

pbn bro. pbn is great for cheap guns, and ions are going like mad over there

id say take the shoebox. unless you have no muscles.... and since you drive a ricer i take it thats the case (im jp bro, i love eclipses)

i hate fast n' furious and all the ricer punks that come with it. That eclipse is a GSX (all wheel drive, turbo, with a few mods) funner than hell in the snow

Sorry bout that, back on subject. Yeah, im not worried about the "bulkiness" i hate lighter guns, they feel like toys. Im more concerned about reliability, bps (10+ would be ok), and ability to modify later. Im going to use the shocker tomorrow and if I like it ill buy it. it cant be much heftier than that tippy i suppose.

i would go with an ion or similar gun, but itd be kinda cool to have one of those old beasts.....itd look better if the trig wasnt where it is.

IMO ricers are any cars that are fixed up that come from out of the country. its a import racer. thats where you get the i in ricer. thats how i see it at least...

anyone who drives a cavalier is just an idiot...
