Ion Problems...

Hey guys,

I have had my Ion for aboout a year now, however, about 5 months ago I gave up paintball. When I was trying to use it last night I screwed in the tank, loaded the hopper, turned it on and was rewarded with nothing more than a little "Poof" noise.

I have no idea whats wrong with it but everytime I try and shoot I just hear the smallest little poof noise. I can also hear a little leak coming from the gun when I screw the tank all the way on and it almost sounds like its coming from inside the grip.

Any suggestions?

Just give the gun to me

Maybe you go to the "Smart Parts" forum for more answers.
Also: I am not sure what this 'puff' is. My best guess is that it is internal. A tube maybe.

I would bet it is more basic then that. I would bet you have a dead battery... You will only get a Poof of air if the board is not getting any juice from the battery. If you blew a hose or a noid, you would be spraying air all over the place from inside the marker.

Replace the battery and then tell us what is going on.

Oh... moved to SP forum.

yes, try the battery first. if that does not do it, take off the grips and try it again so you can figure out where the leak is actually located...in fact, follow this troubleshooting guide from zdspb:

Is the poof everytime you pull the trigger? If so then your dwell is too far down.

And the constant leak from the grip area, you probably need to take that to a local paintball shop and let them deal with it..mine was doing the same thing a few days ago and I think one of the hoses had come off or something...

Open the grip and determine if the leak is coming from the bottom of the noid (not a good thing - bad noid or part of the noid usually). If, not take the screws off the grip frame, pull the shell up off the frame a little and air it up to find where the actual leak is. Once you find the leak, follow the troubleshooting guide link I post above.
