A nerve is nothing like a shocker. It is much more similiar to an impulse. Basically it is an impulse that is smaller and ligther and has a reversed hammer. The nerve is not worth the money, becuase you can get a shocker which will give you equal to greater performance for cheaper.

I used to knock on the nerve all the time, but thier actually great markers. After playing with one I prefer it over a shocker because it feels better in my hands.
I feels alot like my proto which I like. You can pick them up used for like $350-500 on ebay or pbn b/s/t which is a great deal. I'm actually thinking of picking one up since I need a SP gun.

I think the nerve has finally entered a price territoy where it is worth a buy. It's a very good gun and is a better version of the impulse.
I think that the stigma they held has begun to pass and ppl are giving them another chance. They aren't bad guns, they just weren't popular b/c of price and no one saw a point in getting one since a shocker has the same board and is smaller.

yea ive seen them barely used for around 500 its crazy but they operate like an impy so if u like impulses you might like it better than a shocker. ive never used one but id liek to so i can compare it to a shocker.

they are really big gas hogs worst than a shocker even though they slighty out perform the shocker in range but accuracy and firing speed are the same it cost the same as a shocker now the price has dropped but i like the shocker more because it is smaller and people like shockers more then nerves so you can get beter guns with trades if you have a shocker

a proto is not better than a nerve i have shot both of them mister b2k owner a nerve has a way better trigger it has a shorter pull and it is magnetic they have the same accuracy but a nerve is lighter and smaler but the proto is less of a gas hog than the nerve, a nerve is alot smaller than it looks in the pictures of it an weighs under 2 pounds also

The nerve is about a half inch shorter than the the proto length wise, height wise their about the same. As for the trigger, just like any gun, it can be adjusted to however you want it, to base judgement on which gun is better because someone had their trigger setup different than how you prefer is stupid.
And it doesn't have better range.
Personally, I think their about even. They have the proto and nerve are about the same performance wise. They are the same size and weight pretty much with the same feel to them. It just depends if you prefer dye guns or smartparts guns. I prefer the matrix because it takes so little to maintain, where as Ive seen nerves with problems, although small ones that require very little to fix.

clear this up
Alright, number one, the Nerve is nothing like a shocker, it is indeed essentially an impulse with a faster board and reversed hammer. You guys that are complaining about weight, I weighed it and a stock shocker side by side and the nerve is 4 oz. heavier. If you really can tell a big enough of a difference in weight between the two that you feel the need to whine about it, you're retarded. And finally you guys who say it is too big, it just looks too big. Hold one in your hand and it feels smaller than a shocker, also it is shorter front to back than a shocker and about 1/8th to 1/4th of an inch taller than a shocker, once again not enough to complain about. And finally, you can actually STRIP THE BOLT without taking the whole gun apart.
If you look at all this stuff put together, the nerve is a much better gun than the shocker AT ITS NEW PRICE POINT I had to add that because i know it was a rip off at $1100.
Please don't flame me, I'm just stating the facts.
