Sp8
Anyone ever used one? Is it better than an ion? (The reason I ask is i'm looking to buy a new gun for all types of fields, and i prefer hand positioning on the SP8 over the Ion, but i don't necessarily prefer the 100 dollars extra I would pay for that) so are there any other differences besides the body?

It's not a retarded ion, it's teh same exact one you have, just geared towardsa differant type of player.
Unless you play only on the woods and in scenerio's I would not suggest the sp8

Eek, double post
Well, held a SP8 today, the thing is awsome. Wouldnt step onto a xball field with it, but cool nonetheless.
It is a tad bit heavier, seeing as how there is alot more metal to this thing, no not all that stuff is plastic. It would feel kind of goofy with a hopper on it, but would be pretty neat with a qloader.

The stock and other accesories are going to be available for purchase in about a month.
And yes, I suppose they could have put the stock on it, but then the gun would cost $50 more

Why not? It shoots the same as an ION, hell, I've played x-ball with tippys. I dont understand why it would be anny different than the ion, except more people would laugh at you and call you stupid.

Why not??? I mean, I wouldn't play a tourny season with one, or use one primary, but I'd play a game or too with one.

Exactly, its not vert feet, heavier, and more baulky. Great for the woods, but not something I wouild use on the xball field when I have my proto, Ions and shockers to choose from.
Yes it will shoot just as nice, it just wont feel as good in your hands though in those circumstances.

Well they do work for woods and what not. I would not reccamend one for airball. It would not work so well.

I saw the potential for a mil sim in the ion when it first came out. I think this is a great idea. And keep in mind those "MIL Sim'ers" like to sight down the top or install a scope.
Someone that has one locally compare it to the weight of the A5, I bet its lighter...
