help

I am thinking about buying a n ion from a paintabll shop for $200 stock. it doesn't have a manual or box but it comes with a one year warranty. I just wanted to know if there is anything important i should know before I buy it. I also have access to a manual over the internet but it isn't the greatest.

most of the information you will need will be found in this forum.
200 used from a shop is a great deal. take your tank down when you buy it and have them air it up for you.
that way if they blow the gauge or anything, its on them not you. then read up on it before you change anything.

I would also have them show you how to adjust the reg, and how to tear it down before you paid for it as well.
good luck

Then don't buy it unless you have a compressed air tank. You can't run co2 on an ion.

You definately can't without ruining it. No oil either.

Yeah, but the risk of damaging the gun is still very high.

yes, you can do it. but the problem is that CO2 is a much harsher type of propellant than HPA. Co2 is an inherrrantly dirty liquid and gas. while, your gun may function for a while, it will eventually cause more doamge in a shortter period of time. therefore you will need to keep a steady supply of o-rings to keep it in good form. not to mention that you will be replacing internal parts at a much accelerated rate...such as your solenoid and hoses.

btw, you use grease for an ion......not automotive grease, a special kind of grease called DOW 33. it is also know under many other names, one of which is "shocker lube" (marketed by smart parts for all their markers)
