I will be maybe getting an Ion soon. I was thinking, could an Ion ever be as good as a Shocker? Like, with a better board like a Blackheart, and other various upgrades.

-Ion- $285
-Lucky Stages 1,2,3 -$90
-CP Reg -$65
-Blackheart - $100
-Clamping Feedneck -$35
-All/American Barrel - $65
-Qev-$15
-CP Trigger/ Or something rather $15
-68/45 Maxflo System $225
-Kila Ball Detents- $20

and for looks:
-Dye Stickies - $30
-New Body Frame -$100

I mean, It would cost around the same, and be totally custom.

ITS a total of $1045
thats plus a tank, which would have to be bought w/ a shocker, so $925 for the shocker w/ tank
im not trying to start an argument, just trying to prove a point... not sure if anyone is seeing it tho

get a used shocker, you could find a nicely upped one for that price...thats a lot of money to put into an ion

ya it could be, look on the nation for the most expensive ion...when its done its going to cost as much as a proto in pure upgrades and perform like...well we will just have to see

where on the nation could I find the most expensive Ion? If i can perform as well/ or better, I would rather do that, becuase It would be more fun to customize it.

i don't ever think an ion will ever be equal to a shocker bc of the fact that it was an ion....most ppl first judge you by the gun you shoot....you will get a different reaction from them if u said shocker instead of an ion...but i try not to judge by the gun they shoot, i go by their skill....

it can perform good with all those ups but that will cost way more than a used shocker

Yeah, you could get a shocker for less, but then you couldn't say, "my ION is just as good as your shocker."

Dude, you can get a Matrix for less than that on Punishers though...

However, if you are set on an Ion, then yes, thats a great setup. I would not upgrade the Detents though, and spend extra money to get a two piece barrel like the UL, or maybe a Powerlye Scepter Kit

Yea, I know AA is two piece, im sorry, that kinda came out wrong. The AA is fine, I just prefer the UL and Scepter.

If you dont have ti all at once, then go for it. Its like what I'm doing, upping it constantly. People will tell you you shouldn't waste the money on an Ion, but i like it, and it works well for me, at least until I can get enough cash in one spot to get a Matrix or something
