Hooray for quality!!
I recently got a shocker, and I went to take off the eye detent with my allen wrench, and it immediatly (and i mean with very little force) stripped out completlely. Now its stuck in my friggin body, and i have to use an easy-out to get the detent out. Both of my detents are pretty much totally worn, so i decided to try to take out the other detent. The same thing almost happened but i stopped before i let it strip out. Verrry verrry poor quality metal, as soon as I get these stupid detents out im buying kilas. (They're screwdriver removable)
edit: I just hope i didn't strip my body out by tightening the detent too much, but i didn't tighten it very much at all.

I never had that problem with stock detents, only them blowing out.
BTW, Kilas are not screwdriver removable.

do you think its possible to strip the body out by overtightening the detents? or would the detent threads more likely give in first? because thats pretty much my worst nightmare, i just got the damn thing a few days ago, only shot one pod through it.
heres exactly what happened: took the detent off. noticed that the ball wasn't sticking out at all, must have been hung up on something. also noticed that threaded end of the detent wasn't as long as the other detent, strange (im thinking thats from overtightening it, so the metal on the end of the detent caved in or something, causing the ball to now be stuck in the down position.
or i could have stripped my body and my detent out by overtightening that would suck.

The detent would go before the threads. Also, the vision side detent is longer then the nonvision side detent becuase it needs the extra threads due to the eye cover.

One of my friends bought kila's for his Pimp. Much better than the stock detents.
Also, make sure your allen key isn't worn. I noticed when I had my TLX that if you use a worn allen key, it has a better chance of stripping the screw head.

Lol, brand new allen wrench, straight out of the box
I must have just gotten some strangely weak ones, or something, idk. Im about to order some kilas, so that'll fix it right up.
EDIT: everywhere i look the detents are out of stock! If i were to order the detents directly from the kila website, do you think they'd be in stock? because if not, im gonna have to order some other detent, i need detents asap.
