A velocity question for the Ion?

I was just wondering if I am turning it down right because when I first went to turn the velocity down when I twisted it I saw that the whole grip was coming off so I was pretty sure that wasnt the right way so then I held the grip and now it seems that the piece that I have to turn is going into the grip is that suppose to do that. Just wondering because I dont want to blow a hose because it is a new gun. Well hope you can help

Turn counter clockwise to turn the veolcity down, you should get to a point where you cannot turn it anymore, and screwing it ccw starts to unscrew the whole reg, that means you have turned it all the way down.

At the chrono, slowly turn it cw, until you reach ~140, then tweak for velocity

AH-Ha. I know why your gun won't fire.

Eyes.

the ion uses break-beam eyes, this mean a laser is fired across the breech (where the paintball drops) as long as this laser is not interupted, the gun will not fire. When a ball drops into the breech, it breaks the laser allowing the gun to fire when you pull the trigger.

I *think* that you need to hold down the trigger when you turn the gun on in order to turn off the eyes. But i'm not 100% sure.

also, are you running a co2 tank or a hpa tank?

To turn off the eyes, turn the gun on as normal, then tap the power button once. Anytime you turn your Ion on, its eyes are automatically on.

no

Turn on the ion
Then hit the power switch once more.

You can now dry-fire

This is whats happening:

Power on-Ion turns on, with eyes.
Eyes prevent you from chopping the paintball, therefore when theres no ball in the breech (eg. dry firing) the ion wont fire

Hit the power again-Eyes turn off, Ion on
Eyes turn off, allowing you to dry fire

The on/off button should blink in a 2 blink format. eg: blink blink (pause) blink blink. and that means that you can dry fire. also try reading some of the stickies that they have made for help. It really helped me out when i was first tweaking my ion
