Yes you can go ahead a call me a newbie, I still consider myself one since I've only been playing about a year. I am thinking about getting an Ion as my second marker. My main one is a Tippman 98C. My question is, does the Ion run of CO2 to have to run off Nitrogen ? I guess that goes for most guns.

First off, its not Nitrous, its Nitrogen or more commonly HPA. Just dont want you to get caught saying that, people will judge you by it.

Technically, yes, the Ion can run off A/S CO2 (A/S=anti siphoned) but it is highly reccommended (for consistency, and better for the gun) that you use HPA.

You can pick up a nice 47/3000 steel HPA tank (crossfire) for $70. Install a QEV in the Ion and that tank will get enough shots that as long as you have all-day air you will be fine.
