Should I just leave them alone? I mean...would it do any good to fiddle with them to make it charge faster or cycle faster if I'm capped at 17bps?

My ion is stock right now btw.

So right now if I was in rebound, I could shoot 17bps? Now if I were to increase my ROF by fiddling with the Dwell and Recharge rate, would I be able to shoot 17bps EASIER??

Actually...when you lower the ROF (recharge rate) it allows the gun to shoot faster.

When my Ion was stock, I had my ROF at 0 and my dwell at 48 clicks from the bottom. The gun won't be able to shoot 17bps without a QEV though.

first you need to get Qev, realy get up their. but yes if you set qour dwell and rof right, you could get above 17bps. (i heard it on a website showing how to set it)

With the stock board, you won't get more the 17 considering that's what the board is capped at. There are a couple dwell/ROF calculators that are around that if you put in your dwell and ROF, it tells you how fast it could shoot....but really, it can't shoot that fast.

With a QEV...I lowered my dwell to 13 clicks from the bottom and kept my ROF the same (0)

Alright...so with no QEV, what can I expect my ROF to be about? I can't believe that I was fooled into thinking that it would, out of the box, shoot 17 bps, huh.

So simply put, should I or should I not mess with the dwell/recharge settings? With no QEV or upgraded board, will it make any difference? If so, what should I set it at?

Without a QEV...you don't need to mess with the dwell unless you like tinkering with your gun to get the best possible performance out of it...like me. You will want to lower the recharge though so you can get a higher rate of fire. With a QEV and the recharge bottomed out (0 clicks from the bottom) and the correct dwell setting (10-15 usually) you will be able to get 17bps.

What happens if I WERE to bottom out my recharge rate and have my dwell at like 3 (or whatever) and not have a QEV? Nothing? A little something?

The recharge is just the delay in between shots...capping the board. I am not sure what the stock ROF/recharge is.

If you had a dwell at 3 without a QEV, the gun probably wouldn't shoot.

Alright, simple question: Can I get my ROF to go up (without a QEV) by tweaking the Dwell/Recharge settings, and if so, what should those settings be?

to get the your gun shooting the fastest as it can go with it stock, just st your rof to 0. But stop worrying about it. Just air up your gun and shoot it. you will see that it is actually pretty fast.

Hah, alright scathed.

However, that didn't make sense...set my ROF to zero!? You mean my recharge or dwell? Or did you really mean set both to zero?

Ah...that's why you think we are going in circles. ROF = recharge...they are the same thing.

ROF/Recharge - 0
Dwell - 48

those are the settings I had on my Ion before I got a QEV or bolt and got the best performance with.

For me I had the dwell at 53 or else I would get ****ty consistancy. But that's with a field limit of 250 so I bet that's why. Doesn't really matter. Just put your dwell at 52 if you don't feel like tweaking. Keep your recharge at 0 to max out the board, though this was covered in this thread already.

Alright...so now I have the Recharge down at 0, and the dwell at stock. Now I just have to wait till my few cheapo ups come in! lol

Oh, and I have it on rebound as well...is this the "fastest" setting I could have it on? I know that 3 round and auto are capped at 10bps...but will I be able to shoot rebound faster than that?

Yes...when you have the board set to rebound, it maxes out the board.
