What does dwell mean?

Dwell refers to aproximate time the bolt will take to cycle. This is achieved by setting your "dwell" or amount of time your solenoid is activated. The longer the solenoid is activated the longer the bolt stays forward.

Your input pressure also does have a slight effect on your bolt speed (especiall for the ions), but for the most part the dwell is the most important of the two in determining bolt speed.


Don't feel bad about asking a noob question, everyone here has done it at least once. Don't label your thread as "Noob Question". If you give a brief explanation of what your thread is about you will get a lot more hits and less flaming.
