Well i got my ion back from the shop for a leak. Now i get it back, air it up and all and i notice the bolt doesent move? Like how its supposed to push out the paintball the bolt doesent seem to move but the paintball still makes a sound when i pull the trigger any suggestions?

the bolt actually doesnt make contact with the paintball, it comes close to it, but the air is what pushes the paintball, put some paint in and see if you can still shoot

ya dont put your finger in the hole... jsut a warning
its the air that pushes it and the air that makes the sound
now if you are jsut looking at it you prolyl wont be able to see that bolt move, its too fast.. put some paint in it and see, if not take it apart. the ppl couldve screwed that up at the place that u got it fixed at

No ive put paint in there and it does not shoot it doesent even seem to let air out. Also whats wierd when i turn my max flo micro off the bolt starts to move when the pressure starts to get low. Then just today the tank ran out and when the tank was at about 100 psi the bolt started to move then eventually stopped. Just a question what velocity should i put my Cp Regulator to? i was keeping at 180 but maybe if i lower the guage it will shoot? I don't know just a thought. Im pretty sure they didnt mess it up well im going there on Monday if i can't get it fixed.

maybe the pressure is causing one of the hoses internally to almost come off, and then when the pressure releases the hose goes back on and moves the bolt.

Take it apart. Inspect and re-lube. They might have not lubed it. Or your solenoid isn't opening?

I don't think so but ill look into that but it doesent look or sound like it. Also the bolt seems lubed pretty throughly it moves when inside the barrel if i try to pull it out. Ok if this helps ill list my marker:

Just a question whats a good dwell setting for the virtue board with a qev? U have mine at 14. Also once again any know what they set there ion Cp Reg to?

the ion itself can run at about 130 with the stock reg on a bad day so try to dial it down to like i'd say 120 then work it up till you get the pressure you need, but see if turning down the pressure does anything, it might be too much pressure on the hoses and its making them leak

My reg pressure always sits around 160-180 depending on bore size and temp. I don't think this is your problem.

I think your dwell is just set so low that the bolt is not cycling quite far enough to allow the air to be released down the barrel. Up you dwell a notch or two and see if it makes a difference. This is most likely the problem.

Well i dont think cahnging the dwell is working too good i even tried like 20 and it doesent seem to make much of a difference my reg right now is at about 95 ish and it usually makes a loud pop or bang 100-110 the loud bang and pop is occasional but not all the time. 120 and higher the bolt does not move but it does make sounds but not sounds of the bolt.

My ion has like 130 for the pressure, its fine. Any board problems maby, the hoses? Probably something internaly wrong when you air it up.
