I always run out of air in my ion way before anyone else I am playing with does (most of them don't have ions). I recently got a QEV put in and haven't had a chance to see how that improves my air efficiency yet. However, is it possible for me to use remote air with my ion? If I just got a HPA coil hose and say a 72 ci tank to carry on my harness. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem but I never seen another ion with remote air. Thanks guys

yes you can, but unless you get a bigger tank than a 72/3000 you will not get better efficiency. The qev if you don't bump your dwell down will rob your efficiency. Go out and tune it up right.

Remotes are worthless, they just make the gun harder to handle and get you shot the f up. Don't bother.

i will say one good thing about remotes though, if you are using CO2, you get ZERO liquid in the gun and it does make quite a difference that way, I know this cuz back in my scenario days i ran a remote... Those were the days... heh I thought i looked cool too lol

I know a guy that uses a remote on his Ion. Carries up to 15 pods of paint with him.. If you like it, do it. I'm talking about woodsball here. For tourney stuff I'm sure it wouldn't be as good but for woods. Do what you like.
