MaxFlo questions

Hello.

I am planning on getting a new Shocker within a week or two. it is likely to be the Russian Legion.

I would like to know more about the MaxFlo system.

If I sound like a noob, well this is my first Shocker, and I haven't really done much research on them prior to planning on getting a Shocker.

1. What does the MaxFlo do?

2. Where can they be bought?

3. Are they mounted on a rail on the bottom of your gripframe, or does it go on top of a HPA Bottle like a regulator?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions soon.

As for now, thanks for the help.

EDIT : LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING POST BEFORE LOOKING AT THIS

1. max-flo's regulate the pressure incoming to your gun from your tank. If there was not regulator, ur chamber would probably explode, and if not, every o-ring inside would.
2.It depends on which max-flo u want to buy. The manifold design is probably the best. U can get that at mikespaintball.com
3.Yes you have to get a rail for 2 out of 3 of the max-flo regs. The max flo mini (which i dont like very much because its preset) has an integrated rail. It goes below ur grip

srry, before u look at the previous post, i have a question. Are you getting the vert max-flo or the inline/mini/manifold?

They are two completely different things, doing exactly the same thing.

The max-flo i think you may be talking about is the vert max-flo, which comes stock on the sft shockers but are now replaced on the nxt's by the ion regs (apparently better regs) They go on the front of the gun and is also considered a forgrip.

The inline/mini/manifold are on bottle regs. They are put on the actual bottle of ur tank.

Think of the tank as two parts, for a screw in tank, the two parts are the bottle itself, and the reg/screw in valve. For other regulators that are non screw ins, like the max-flo and i think angel air and some others, the macro line goes strait into the reg.

This is a common misunderstanding among players. There are 4 different kinds of max-flows. Three of them are bottle regs (mini/inline/manifold), the last (the vert) goes at the front of ur gun. (Most of these are replaced by sidewinders or cp regs, but max-flo's are still top of the line, and certainly look better than the ion reg)

yeah man, I'm talking about the ones for your bottle, not the reg.

But thanks for the help.

no problem. I would go with the manifold design personally. It performs just as well as the inline, but is cheaper because it looks a little uglier and SP had a tougher time selling them.

but wether u get the manifold, the mini, or the inline, they are all non screw ins. This is sort of a pain because if you ever want to take your tank off your gun, you need allen wrenches to release it.
