Impulse LPR

Ive never set up an lpr on one so I need a couple of questions answered.

All I need is an LPR and an LPR nipple correct? I dont necessarily HAVE to tap it off the volumizer, I could in theory run it were the PRV is right? I was always under the impression that PRV valve was pretty much pointless....

Ya, you need the LPR and the nipple/microline hose to go into the dwell passage in the front.

You can actually put the LPR where the PRV is. But, you could put your solenoid at risk without the PRV. The pressure relief valve acts as a safety for you solenoid. The PRV releases air at around 220psi. in order to save the solenoid from the high pressures. Solenoids are not cheap, I might add, lol.

First time I got my Imp, I guess I accidentally messed with the Max-Flo Reg before I ever gassed it up and I ended up setting it to well over 200psi, lol. Once I gassed it up, the PRV went crazy, and my gauge even broke, but the noid was fine.

And another tip, if you want to be extra safe, before everytime you gas up your Imp, you should lower the pressure on the reg, then screw the tank in, then slowly adjust the reg back up to where it was. So you don't get any big bursts of air like I did.

yeah I always keep my my max-flo turned always off when I gas the gun up, I've seen the noid pop .

Ill probably just break and buy the volumizer so I can leave the PRV alone, This is just my tinkertoy/backup/loaner rig anyway.

I was amazed out how much weight I saved going to the logic frame and changing to a shocker maxflo. I wasn't aware it would be that significant.

Ya, well the stock Imp frames aren't too heavey but the Max-Flo, wow. Slap any other reg on there and you've taken off about a pound, lol.
