the cap im holding in my hand came off my old body (not the orignal body but a different one) and im just wondering do i transfer it onto the new one, i tried but it didnt fit in with me pushing it, i dont no if i should get a hammer and try to force it in??

if i leave it without a cap is that a bad idea?

If it don't fit, it won't work. What style after market body is that? Did it come with instructions? If it was meant to have an end cap, I would think that it would have come with the kit.

looks liek a shochtech body. it isn't gonna work imo. jsut leave it as far as I can see there are no problems with it.

There's no cap on the standard Ion body kit so I would quickly ship that part to the guy that bought that body kit from you, as you forgot to give him the whole thing. BTW, your new body kit doesn't have a covering in the back, so if the Ion bolt kicks back while firing (I don't know, so check), be careful not to hold it close to your face (not a huge danger but if you break your mask you'll need a new one before you can play again, and if it comes back with enough force aside from hitting your eye the plastic shrapnel that might come from the broken lens won't be too eye-friendly either).

That's a Shocktech body that you have on it right now (in the top picture), and you won't need the cap on it. All that will happen without it is that you will get a little puff of air hitting you in the face when you fire it, nut it won't be anything major, or anything noticeable when you have your mask on. **Please know that the excess air the hits you when you shoot os not a leak; it is just excess air being expelled from the shot.**
