Help old school shocker owner looking for newschool advice

got into the sport when you either owned an angel, shocker, done up cocker or automag, period!(to be competitive) bought a 2001 sft shocker to have the speed of an angel (well close enuf) but the accuracy of the cocker. got out of the sport for a while now got my second wind, due to no available parts for my trusty "shoebox" which has every upgrade imaginable I want to get a new shocker but have some questions for all you new school guru's out there......

1) i was looking to get an 03-6 sft due to compatibility with my numerous barrels i currently have as the nxt wont take them due to thread change. is this true?

2) my shoebox is a closed bolt is the new sft an open bolt? or mixture of?

3) is the new age shocker as good in distance and accuracy as they have always been?

4) whats the "real world" facts of how the shocker stands up to all the other markers out there? (i can read the write ups but they dont talk about where you stand owning a shocker)
-looking for the plus/minus thought of you owners out there

Thanks......also looking to purchase a used gun asap msg me if you hae or know of someone looking to sell

Cheers

1. Yes, I pretty sure that's true.

2. Closed bolt

3. Shockers have always shot great.

4. I prefer DM7s/PM7s and Egos. But they are great guns.

accuracy between guns are the same. it's determined by paitn to bore match and consistancy of the regulator to be honest. and SFTs are open bolt. The "seal forward technology" that apparently makes the SFT closed bolt is just a load of crap lol. Just an oring.

in terms of the SFT standing up to other guns, they are fast, light, not that bad looking, and resale is cheap so you can pick one up used fully upped for not that much. i bought my 05 new and still use it as my main. i love the thing. so easy to maintain.

good gun imo.
