My friend recently got a 08 nxt shocker. While taking it apart for some reason i dont know b4 even shooting it he broke the on/off button from the upper board off. So the gun cant be turned on pretty much lol. So it now needs to be sent into smart parts. He offered to sell me the gun for 200.00 but i would have to send it in and would have to pay him until it got fixed. So wondering hows smartparts with repairing and sending the product back out.

Reliable?

I'd call and ask them but i dont trust the company's themselves.

I would jump on that deal, you could just send it in and tell them your the original owner ( as long as he didnt send in his reg card ). More than likely if you can get a sales slip they would fix it under warranty. You will hear a ton of negative chat here about SP, but I have had nothing but pleasant experiences dealing with them....

i dont have the warranty papers but its a 08 nxt so its brand new think they would work on it for me even if i dont have the papers?

Prolly, if you have the original box they should(I know they did on my cousins in because the warranty #/some number was on the original box). If not thoguh that is a good opportunity to get an APE rampaged NXT for 300 bucks.

I had an unpleasant experience with one of their "associates". Its a boring story. But, ultimately, they did replace the part that was defective, and thats all i really needed anyway. Of course, you might take into account that i wasnt very polite since the first time i called they pretty much patronized me and ignored my issue, and i waited 2 weeks before i figured it out. Although, everyone else i talked to (friends and want not) had good experiences with them.
