Picked the nxt up for 150, he claimed a virtue board, i think ill ask the forum, i watched one of mikes vids from tech pb and he was ranting about how smart parts stock boards came with resin melted into the connectors so the board could not be flashed, if that is true, then this would not be a stock board but can anyone tell by looking, thanks

It looks as if you have the blackheart board

Here is how you change the settings on it. Apparently you change BPS rate by changing the recharge rate of the solenoid along with the dwell. How quaint! To be at 12.5 bps, you need a dwell of 27-30 chirps and a recharge rate of 55
Here is the official manual that confirms it. What a load of crap. thanks smart parts!

Hey miller, does the shocker really run as low as 5 ms dwell? That seems incredibility low to me. That's less than what my G6R was running at.

What board can you get that is better?

here is the tadao board. I'm not sure what bps it will go down to, but if it's not low enough, tadao will flash the latest software down to 10 bps on it for $20

The APE board is a bit more pricey, but I really like them. They're easy to use.

Virtue no longer makes an LED board, but if for whatever reason you feel like spending a ton of money, you can get an oled board from them. Virtue boards are quality stuff. You may be able to find the redefined led board used someplace.

Other board to look out for include:
Hater
Seventhth Element
NoX

No. Unless you've got a sprung bolt, they don't even operate properly with a dwell of 10 ms. And even some sprung bolts won't work at 10 ms. My Magnesium sprung Eigenbolt requires 14 ms dwell to have consistent velocity. This could go down some as the bolt continues to break in, but generally speaking 10 ms is the lowest dwell Shockers will function at. Below that neither of the noids (Humphreys is more common, but there are some Parker noids which are the more desirable for low dwell usage) they use are fast enough to be consistent.

You actually RAISE the dwell on the Shocker boards to lower BPS cap. Same as the original Ion boards.

And the Smart Parts settings aren't really the same as most any other. "5 ms" dwell on a shocker board isn't the same as 5 ms dwell on an aftermarket board due to the various settings smart parts had that produced REAL dwell. It was more like 18. Horrible boards, and the firs thing that was ditched on every smart parts marker I owned.

@ matrix_agent, it is a blackheart board, at least the link and info work for changing the settings, som3one posted that it was a virtue redefined, definatel y did not work with it thanks again

Can someone give me a link for optimal settings on an nxt with the blackheart board, that would be great i cant find that info anywhere, ps i know every marker is different, but at least a point in the right direction would be great

Good luck. Smart Parts boards are nearly impossible to figure out IMO. AT one point someone had explained to me exactly how to set up your full true dwell to be what you wanted while still haveing your BPS cap what you wanted but I long since don't remember.

All i know is its capped at 12.5bps with a dwell of 17 (anything lower it doesnt want to fully cycle), and i can watch my tank air physically drop every shot and it leaks slightly from the front of the bolt, actually both my sft and nxt leak, they seem to be very very finnicky guns, i think ill sell them
