its great i got mine about 8 months ago and i love it.I have a non-vision vert reg. impy. so far the upgrades i have are a eclipse blade trigger, halo b, bullet drop forward, 88 4500 pbn2 tank, adn i just ordered a freak kit. the good things about it the stock barrel is the smart parts progressive which is decent, it is very easy to clean. the only problem i've had is first shot drop off thats about it.

Impulse is Basicly Smart PArts "low end gun" You can choose Eaither the Non Vision or Vision. the gun Really is supposed to be more Cost Effecitve instead of turney ready outta the box. You will have to spend some money to upgrade it to make it perform it's best. and like paintballer said, it's designed to be easy to work on and clean b/c it's put on the lower price range. It's a Great gun for someone to think about who wants to get out of the Spyder, Tippmann era and move up.

the best low-priced gun is the bushy, it rocks and for the price of a vision impulse you've got a SWEET gun.

I am thinking about upgradeing to an Impulse and now I have a Pure Energy high pressure nitro tank. Would I need to get a low pressure tank for my impulse to work correctly?

Bushys don't break, people break bushys. I've had mine for a 2 years and not a single problem. Cost less than any impulse will if you wanna rip

No, But you really have to be careful when gassing it up. Smart parts recommends that you lower your operateing pressure on the reg below 100. Attach your tank and adjust your reg to about 150-160 PSI. Be sure to shoot to readjust the output pressure in between adjustments. Its probably a good Idea to do this every time you attach your tank. Anything over 230 psi will ruin your internals.
