I am just wondering what are the must have tools to work on your Impulse and are there any tools that arent exactly necessary but just good to have?

Necessary Tools

1. A good set of standard allen wrenches- I cant stress enough how important that this is. The impulse uses several different sized screws so have an a set will prove best. Make sure you get standard and not metric. You can pic these up at a local hardware for several bucks.

2.Dow 33- Lube for your stock impulse bolt. Dont use it if u have an aftermarket delrin bolt. Sold on most paintball sites. Try xpaintball.com

Optional Tools
1. Hammer tool- made by new designz to hold make removing your hammer easier. Can be found on most paintball sites. try xpaintball.com

2.Crescent Wrench/Needle Nose Pliers- good for removing the 90* fittings for macro line. Found in all hardware stores.

3. Loc-tite- good to use if u have screws that arent stayin in place. Can be found at hardware stores.

4. Q-Tips- cleaning out paint in small spots or in ball detents. Found at conveince stores.

This is just what i had for my impulse. I always had any tool that i needed. Hope this helped

EDIT: He beat me to it.

Allen wrenches
Screwdrivers
Crescent wrench
pliers
dow 33
teflon tape
loc-tite
knife
any small pointy thing (dwell)
towel

I know there's more, but I just got back from playing and I'm wrecked.

I don't like loc-tite. Teflon tape is less messy, does the same job, and is easier to get off.

The thing w/ Teflon tape is it can break off and Jam up the insides of your Impy, Causing major dro-off problems, and Can destroy your Noid, and will void your Warentee. And Blue loc-tite isn't that big of a deal to work with if you know what ur doing and don't be stupid w/ it

Also for Dwell, I perfer to get the Craftsman Set of allen wrenches from sears for like $10-$15 and use the .050 Allen key (smallest one. Also used to unscrew your eye ribbon) and adj. the dwell w/ it or a slightly larger allen key. this keeps from damaging the dwell button on the board w/ something sharp

And a Strap Wrench can save the day also a good bottle of Down 33. Also, don't forget some micro screw drivers for taking ur noiud apart when u need to.

Teflon tape is frobiden for a Max-Flo and other parts of a impluse. I would know my local store owner is Darrel. The guy that coaches the All Americans, and he is a smart parts rep.
