Also check the FAQ i wrote up i made a new one yesterday. And the Reason That you are recomended to get a On/off is that When you screw in a PReset tank, w/ the maxflow already set at say 180 PSI from the last time you used it. That instant shock of 180 PSI is really damaging on the noid. might not seem like it but it can reduce the life of a noid faster then regular use.

and the shorter Pin was a problem w/ the old Horizontal Maxflow's b/c the pin would activate the tank before it was all the way screwed in. This ment you needed to put an O-ring inside the ASA along w/ the o-ring on your tank. commenly reffered to as "the o-ring Trick".

Hope you have fun w/ ur new Imp. Remeber. NDz internals are the best you can get. evil sucks.

Got the Impulse into my hands today -- it is really cool and is built very well. My new tank comes in tomorrow and then I am going to my local shop to put it on a chrono.

I also have a Tapeworm coming tomorrow -- from looking at the directions, this looks fairly simple to install - Do you all know of anything I should be aware of when installing a Tapeworm?

Thanks for all your help in my purchas.

And whenever you gas up your Imp, it's always good to first turn the Max-Flo pressure down below 100psi. (That's about 6 turns I think they said) so that it is at a safe pressure for the noid. Once it is gassed up, increase the Max-Flo pressure to the desired OP while firing.

I've had some experience with this. When I first got my Imp, the OP was turned up too high, like 200psi.+, so when I gassed it up, all of the air spewed out from the PRV, and my gauge blew on the VA. This is the kind of thing that can "shock your noid", which isn't good. Now I know how to gas it up right.

LMFAO! yea but still. I know a kid that just got his impulse and though that the maxflow was off screwed in all the way, Screwed on his tank (thak got it was low pressure) and the maxflow guage broke, the little air relieve valve (i forgot the name of it ) got stuck open, and his noide blew... it was soo hilarious when i came into work monday and he brought me the gun and i asked what happened and he told me that story. it was funny.

Lol, that's phat.

I take it this happens to every 1 out of 3 first time Impy owners out their.

They should put a warning label on the ASA: STOP...Turn pressure down.

So when I screw on my tank for the first time -- I need to unscrew the large cap at the bottom of the vert regulator quite a bit - this will avoid too high of a pressure damaging the unit right?

Should I calibrate my gun without the tapeworm first or install the tapeworm and then calibrate?

So I went to the shoppe and had a new drop put on and an ASA valve on/off.

Now when we went to put in my tapeworm -- we removed the screw in the front of the gun -- however there is a metal tube inside. It would not allow the tapeworm to go in properly. matter of fact if we were to push real hard it would just crumple up this thin metal tube.

what should i do?

the thin metal tube is accually a filter. Smart Parts puts it in there so that when people use CO2 (since the gun is designed to run of N2 and CO2) that the dirt in Co2 would not damage the Noid. Just keep shoving it in, and just screw it in, If it leaks a bit when you gas it u it's fine for testing, once you screw it in, Shoot it w/ some paint and see if you get drop off at all, if you don't, remove and loc-tite, if you do get drop off, make sure you followed my guide and Cut the tube a bit

as for the dude w/ the Crossfire tank... Treat it well and it will treat you well. get a good Tank cover for it (i sugest a Dye rhino cover or 04' Redz cover), Also get sa nipple cover w/ a little cord that goes under ur Burst disk so you don't loose the nipple cover and keep irt outta the nipple.
