Loose Impulse Regulator

The vertical regulator on my Impulse is loose from the top, so I can wobble the whole thing left and right. It doesn't effect performance, but it's kind of annoying. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

See the thin black nut on the reg? Loosen it a little. Then unscrew the whole bottom part of the reg off. The is an allen screw in there. Tighten it up after you align it. Screw the bottom of the reg back on.

See if that helps.

No, it wobbles from the top of the gun, where the reg meets the gun, near the gauge.l

Yeah so is my friend and he ordered it from the same site as me... And now it's really annoying, it sways left right front and back more than 2-3 mm.

is the ASA where the max-flo screws in loose? if so you will need to take off the reg and tighten the screw that holds the ASA onto the body.

1. Disconnect the Macroline hose. To do this, push in on the metal fitting around the hose connected to the regulator, and pull the hose out simultaniously.

2. Unscrew the regulator. To do this, push down hard on the fitting going in a counter-clockwise motion.

3. Tighten the allen screw that is inside the vertical adapter. To do this, get an allen wrench of the correct size, and place it inside the allen screw, and turn it in a clockwise motion.

4. Put everything back together.

thank you all, I have cured the problem and tommorow i can help my friend out. The reason I needed help was because I thought it was just a circle inside the vert adapter, that's why your last comment helped so much.

It's simple. The gauge is attached to the vertical adapter, but you don't need to disconnect the gauge. Just tighten the screw in the vertical adapter. Did you even bother to take the reg off and look up there, or what?

Like I said above, you need to take the entire reg off.

Push down on the macro fitting after you take the hose off, and the reg should start to unscrew, then tighten the ellen screw that is inside the vertical adapter where the reg just unscrewed from.

Well, I don't know what kind of impulse you/he has, but that wasn't how I fixed it, so I guess no, I didn't understand it.

It works for all Impulses. The only difference between mine and yours is that mine has a little milling.
