Yes.. The spyder is what is called a Blow back design which uses high pressure gasses to re-cock the gun, and uses a Hammer and sear to hit the valve and all kinds of complicated crap i don't feel like typing
The Shocker uses a Spool valve design which is basicly 3-4 tubes and chambers inside the shocker body, And it uses an electronic solinoid to make the air go into the seperate passages to shoot the gun. and the shocker does not require any types of cocking
you do not use oil on ne pumatic gun (where it uses a noid instead of a sear) instead you use greese. the greese you are supposed to use is Dow 33 which you can order online at many online stores like
www.xpaintball.com
Chaning o-rings on a shocker is as easy as a spyder, but there are many different types of o-rings. You can buy pre-made kits at
www.smartparts.com w/ all the o-rings nessisary.
Lubing up the gun is very simple. It requires only a few allen keys to remove the parts. And there are no springs inside the shocker. Not even to return the trigger (it uses magnets to make the trigger move back to the start point)
