Smitty needs help with his new impulse
Ok I got my new impulse well, second hand off a buddy and no instruction manual. I tried to gas it up and the reg was leakin' like a SOB. So I gassed it up slowly and when the regulator reaches a certain value its like a relief valve lifts and starts causing the reg to leak. I can change the value at which the regulator starts leaking at by turning the front knob on the reg. Its a Smart parts reg that goes from 0 to 300 psi. It says "shocker" on the back of the reg. Help me pleeze!

Ok so I have an NDZ delrin bolt and a shocker max flow.and the green/amber board.
Im running it on my 68/4500 Crossfire and my Egg2. It has a progressive barrel. I can fan the trigger really easy but its hard to walk. I can walk the hell out of a spyder Imagine. So is the stock trigger adjustable and can I replace the trigger with a flat one like on an ebladed cocker? Cuz that would make things a helluva lot easier. Would i be better off with a vertical reg or should I stick with the shocker max flo?

Smit... You might as well stick the Horizontal maxxy for now bro. IF you buy a Vert maxxy, u gotta get the kit with the Vertical adapter or pick a vertical adapter up from somewhere
As for the trigger, go to Wolverines site i sent ya last night, and there is an FAQ on how to instal an Impulse trigger ,and yes u can put a bunch of diff. types of triggers in an impulse. Or... you can replace the frame w/ a 90* frame or an I-frame which ae both very comfertable.

yeah well i just used my impy for the first time today, it is new, and i had a lil trouble, i knew what was wrong but it was pissing me off. Ended up when i filled and set my reg something happened and it went down to 120psi. SO i was chronoing it for a while goin wtf and when i got the the highest setting i looked at the stupid meter and it was hella low. So i fixed that after a while and it won't hella nice all day. I was going up against speed and fly's and actaully almost out shooting them, not really, i ahd a lil advantage. But great gun.

That NDZ ProMag trigger looks pretty sweet. I think Im gonna try that one. And some Dye stickey 3's. So how important is it to upgrade the hammer and the valve? I havent shot a paintball thru mine yet. I didnt get it home until late last night and today I had duty. Stupid navy recruiter never mentioned duty days. But back on topic, this gun should be pretty consistent right? I mean it should be hella consistent over my tippy right? I cant wait to shoot it tomorrow. Since my reg is set at 180psi that means its a LPR right? cuz high pressure regs are like 400 to 900 psi or so right? And its better to be LPR than HPR right? cuz its more consistent?

I love the front grip on this one! That is HOT and also how much of a pain in the butt would it be to get the back milled off like the one in this pic. Im thinking just the price of the milling and a shorter bolt.

smitty, ok here i go, try teh new designs blade trigger, its very nice, and no just because the pressure into your maxflow is below four hundred does not make it an lpr, its still the hpr, however, you can get an lpr for the impulse (altho unecessary), i'd recommend staying away from it tho until you get more accustomed to your new gun. and as far as being a low pressure gun, its better because its less pressure on the internals and the ball as its being shot
upgradeing the hammer and valve assemblies arent 100% necessary, but are nice, you will get 200-300 more shots out of a tank if not more
hope i was a help

ok here i go. I hated my mag trig today, it kept firing when i wasn't touchin the gun. I hate the pull to less than a 1/4 of a penny, heheh shot a ref at chrono, oops.
Anyway you can just get a was board and a bigger cap and screw the lpr. It is really useless in my mind. I got 900 in parts lined up and adding 100 just isn't worth it. You need a new trig if you want to shoot fast. I am outshooting the board right now. But the gun is hella accurate with a ndz derlin, get a white/pro, you'll thank me.

SMitty, The MAxflow is called an Inline reg. but it has Low pressure springs in it meaning it will only regulate into the gun from 0-400 PSI

The Silver thing under the barrel of this impulse is an LPR. What it does is lowers the pressure going to your noid/hammer assembly, BAsicly meaning the air that moves ur bolt can be like 50-70 PSI LOWER then the air traveling down ur barrel to shoot the ball. This is good incase you have a mis-fed ball as it will increase the chances of the bolt "boucing" off it and allowing the ball to fall into the breech.
As for those grips, I believe they are made by the same peeps that make the I-frame. if u plan on keeping the maxflow you have on the gun, Then you can pick one of those up.
The whole thing with the hammers and stuff is internal grain weight. Basicly an impulse will shoot it's best with different weights insie of it, thats why they have mid weight hammers, brass hammers,k ect. ect.
If you really just want 1 easy thing to install. I'd sugest the Ndz hammer assembly, It's comes pre assembled w/ a new hammer housing which increased efficency, a Slick shot hammer shaft, and a mid weight hammer.

That's wut the hammer assembly looks like
Also, If you are intrested in getting rid of that Bottomline maxxy you got and want one that replaced the fore grip on your gun, you will need to purchase a ASA. These are simply installed on the gun and allow you to put ne type of Reg you want on ur gun (cp, sidewinder, gladiator, ect.)

There's the Ndz Vert. ASA
All those items can be found at www.newdesignz.com and purchaced at www.x-paintball.com

nice post. Ok smitty about the milling. That is most likly a custome impy, as in a ton ton etc, it isn't a ton ton, i will find out what it is tho. There are a few companys that you can send your gun to and they will do the millign on your gun like they do it on the ones they sell, or some just sell the milled body, look at www.smartparts.com and go under there store for impulses and click on the link to the custom ones and find a company and talk to them, there are a lot of options in milling a imp.

double post but i believe that is a atomix impulse. It doesn't look exactly the same but i would need a pic of the other side to tell you exactly. But after compairing the grips, body, everything it is the closes unless he had it done by himself. Dragunfly, jay, did that to his and it looks awesome. Atomix doesn't make that impulse anymore so i think it will have to be customed like it. There site is www.atomixpaintball.com i wonder if it will let that go thro? Pm me if it doesn't

Well I ran a hopper full of paint thru it and WOW! Me Like! Me Like! I think all Im gonna do to it for a while is a blade trigger and Dye stickey 3's. Its gonna be a while before I do any kind of paintjob on it. I'll prolly just hold off and get it milled and annoed. Oh and one of those kool front grips that kinda make it look automag-ish.
