Need Impulse help

Hey,I just got a new impulse for xmas, and today i went out and bought all the extra equp. i needed to buy to use it such as N2 tank and a Egg. After all that when i gassed it up and got ready to shoot it started shooting extremely loud and was noticable from far away distnaces. I dont know if this is normal or did i miss something that i was supposeted to do to my gun before i shoot it. I think it might have something to do with the pressure. I read the manual and it didnt help at all. If any of you know something i might want to try i would be extremely thankful.

U may be sending in more air than it needs. An imp can run w/ like 250psi i think out of the box. Sending more air (say 350psi) might be causing the loudness. Adjust ur regs again, u know hpr set to 250, screw around w/ lpr till its shooting, then 1 more turn on lpr.

Then again, if the noise is really bothering u get a barrel w/ a ton of porting (the holes) on it. I can't think of any w/ a ton of porting off the top of my head.

I'm assuming you have a stock Standard Impulse?

Ok, turn the pressure on the Max-Flo reg to about 175psi. That is your operating pressure. Now for the dwell. Turn the gun on, and hold the left dwell button down until it starts beeping very rapidly, that means the dwell is at 0. Now click the right button about 8 times, then chrono. Now click it once more, than chrono. Keep doing this until you get the desired velocity you are looking for.

Don't make your operating pressure go over 200psi. After about 220psi., all of the air will start to leak out of the pressure relief valve which is located next to the gauge on the gun.

Yeah im shooting a stock impulse, I just tried to put gas in it and all it is coming out of the Bronze thing in front of the reg. and the regulator gauge is now broken. Im going to take it back to the shop i got it at tommarow and ask for a return or just get my money back becuase this should happen when i gas it up for the 2nd time.
I dont know if this is a sign that impulse is not for me or just a bad one of the bunch.
Thanks for your help

lay off. If your gonna flame someone at least help them out afterwards.

Im not 100% sure if its broke or not. But i would try unscrewing the knob on the botttom of your reg until right before it comes off, then gas it up. This will take out just about all the input pressure into your marker. When the tank is screwed on slowly screw the knob back in. This is how to adjust the input pressure.

Dude, don't return it.

Your operating pressure has exceeded 220psi., so all of the air started spewing out from the PRV (pressure relief valve) like I said would happen. The PRV is there to help save the solenoid from these high pressures, they aren't designed to take that much. The gauge is also a LP gauge so it can't take that pressure either at such a fast rate, so it broke. Same exact thing happened to me when I first gassed up my Imp.

You could have also "shocked" your solenoid. That's because of the high pressure that you just sent to it. It can lower the life span of the noid, but it should be fine.

Just unscrew the knob on the Max-Flo alot before you gas up the gun next tinme. But you will need to get the gauge fixed before you can set it up.

Sounds like a problem of not reading hte manual

don't return it...

since u've busted ur guage, ur gonna have to go to ur proshop. Ask them to install a new guage for you (should only be $10 or less) and have them tune the gun for you (they shoudl chrono it and everything) once they do that DO NOT SCREW or UNSCREW NE THING! leave it alone ti'll u know how to work it.
