Increasing pressure / leak

I got a little problem with my impulse.

when i screw a tank on, and pressure is set to about 170, but it doesnt hold.. it keeps increasing slowly until it reaches 220 and then it starts to leak out of the back of the gun.

i havent greased my reg in like 6 months so im thinking that could be the problem of the increasing pressure... but why would it leak out of the back at 220???

Probably the Max-Flo. Try cleaning it, and relubing it.

Where is it leaking from in the back? More specific.

i dont have a maxflo, i got rid of it as soon as i got my gun.

it just leaks out of the back, i cant pin point the leak cause its very small.

ALSO, ones i fire my gun, the pressure goes back to normal and then it starts increasing slowly again until it reaches 220, and i get a leak.

Clean your reg. A dirty reg will do that.

Buddy of mine's shocker did that. He rebuilt the reg(which wouldn't hurt in your case) and it worked fine after.
