The thing is, I opened my Spyder to check what kind of battery it is, and it says it's a JAVA 9.6 volt Rechargeable battery. Will the charger and battery I'm ordering work? Thanks in Advance.

I am a qualified technician and electronics service engineer, with a degree and 3 levels of tech NVQ diplomas in the UK too so I know what Im talking about, the whole 9v 9.6v issue is a load of crap. People are misled by VOLTAGE, voltage basically is the shell of the car not the engine so to speak, the power in a battery has a LOT to do with its capacity. When I got my pilot ACS, I immediatly changed out the battery its a measly 100 or whatever mah, for a 9v 300mah. Ive used it constantly for 6 months........without even charging it. NiMh 9v batteries and chargers can be found on ebay cheap, and the chargers are USUALLY MUCH cheaper than the wall types that have the plug to to plug in the marker
I use the same battery on my spyder fasta 9v hopper, and again, 6 months, not had to charge it. the mah value makes a MASSIVE difference because its the storage "volume" that is so important not the .6 of a volt. You can have a 200 volt battery, but if nothing is stored in it, its crap. To prove my point, get a car battery, put some jump leads on the pos and neg, then short them together for a second, .....see that spark?? and from a 12-13v battery......its not the voltage that did that......its the current. Get a 24 volt battery (one of those little square things) and do the same......you may see a little trickle spark, but its twice the voltage..........minimal current compared to a car battery.
get batteries like this on ebay
