What is the definition of a blowback paintball gun? Why are they called blowback?

air blows the bolt back so i can cock after the first shot, hence the name "blowback"

don't most guns do that? Including tippmanns which isn't under the blow back area. (well i guess cockers don't unless im not understanding what you said)

auto cockers dont cock at all, there forward when u shoot them, the are foward then back the shoot, blowbacks stay back after the shot..

your right, all guns blow back, but in different ways.So when u say blowback, its most guns but it classifys it by saying "stack tubed blowback" "open bolt blow back" "closed bolt blowback" you get what im saying?

ah ic... lol i never really payed attention to the stacked tube blow back. Like a tippmann 98c would be a open bolt blowback?

A-5 would be closed bolt blowback?

And spyders/all the cheap fredmeyer semiautos would be stacked tube because the hammer and stuff under the bolt?

Actually they do,the back block moving back cocks it,then when u pull the trigger it uncock and shoots it
