PS2 , i think the controls are easier to handle and its not as comercialized( sorry for the terrible spelling) as the xbox (hence the big X's everywhere

Xbox by far. I got a PS2 at the dawn of the console war and last summer bought an xbox, since then, I have only played one game on PS2 and I dont play it more that once, maybe twice a month. Xbox I play almost daily.

Xbox is a lot more powerful, it can load much faster, store music and a TON of game files without a memory card, Xbox live, the Halo games, and the games it has. Xbox games are for more of a mature audience than PS2 and gamecube. I dont know how the number of games compares, but the quality on xbox is soooo much better.

Controllers too big for your small hands?(you know what they say about people with small hands...) The Duke controllers (aka. the cheeseburgers) have been discontinued, try the controller S, it's still not as small as the PS2 controller, but IMO the PS2's are too small.

i own both systems, and can honestly say i think xbox is an all aorund better system, u can burn cds onto it, custum soundtracks, imo better graphics, and a better online sytem

Live, Recent new releases, controllers seem easier than the PS2 ones, maybe its just me, seems almost unbreakable (i have a little tenancy to throw controllers) unlike the PS2 where if it falls it looks like it'll break

PS2.

You guys rave about all this memory and CD burning and crap...That's what I have a computer for. Consoles are ALL about the games. That's why SNES is the greatest console ever, and PS1 is 2nd.

PS2 has better games, a wider variety of games, and just a larger volume of games. I play a console for the games.

Xbox it is so much more powerful and better graphics but the ps2 is really easy to use. I would go with the xbox personally

For graphics, Computer > All

Why do people care so much about graphics today? I hate how popular gaming has gotten, because all the new gamers just care about graphics. Some of the greatest games ever created have 16 bit graphics (or lower), or use sprites, or whatever. It's not about the graphics!!!

I think in about a year the 3rd gen of systems is comming out save your money if your set on buying a console, for now anyway.

xbox 2 by end of this year.
and i like xbox better. it just looks better than the ps2. i mean it looks like a box and has the word "box" in its name, simple. but ps2, its like a small rectangle with a bigger rectangle ontop of it, wtf is that. and im not including the new style. the new style is nice but about 2 years to late. and besides the fact xbox has a better controller/games/graphics and the built in hd really comes in handy if you know what your doing. but this is all my opinion, so who the hell cares
edit: and i remember about last year or so, me and my friend threw his old ps2 off the back of his quad. it bounced off the pavement pretty good and almost nailed the mini van behind us. havnt done an xbox yet so i got nothing to go against. good times

people probly care about graphics because of what the magazines and all the reviews pound into our heads... "Unbelievable engine" "beautiful graphics" "Almost real" etc..

i would say ps2 because i play it more than Xbox, but i like the controller for Xbox that is like airconditiond or what ever that my friend has.

Snes and Nes are better because the games are fun but for nes the games dont always work and it sucks and im still messing with the nes, the snes works a lot

i agree most games are better on the computer, at least for me since i play alot of first person shooters.

but i have the GC, Xbox, and PS2. Wish i never bought the GC, games suck on it and are for 5 y/os, Xbox has halo, and PS2 has everything else better controllers, and why the hell am i gonna pay to play online when i can buy the same damn game on PS2 and play for free online.

Game wise all I have ever played on Xbox that is worth it was halo 1/2. Every game ive played on both systems the PS2 put the Xbox to shame. Maybe the graphics "aren't as good" but the controls feel so much better better button layout, etc. plus the PS2 has stuff like Metal Gear Solid, GTAs (yes I know 3 and VC came out for Xbox finally), Syphon Filter 3, and a much broader range of types of games. Xbox has sports and few misc fighting games that are all out on PS2. Where on PS2 I can get a more stratgy game to an all out brawling game that has no point but to kill everything. but at the same time, if i had kids i can still get games that they could play if i wanted to. just my 2 cents.

Halo is a must on the xbox, haven't played halo 2 yet.

However, you have to realize that you can't single out a console for certain games. It's personal prefrence that's all.

I personally like the XBox better then the ps2, some people will disagree, but not like it ****ing matters.

Yes, a gt killer is comming out for the xbox.

halo is the most overrated game i have ever played in my life. How people can play that game for more than an hour is beyond me.
