Bagh, xbox live probs. help meh!
Well, I borrowed my friends Xbox for a while, since he never uses it. It just so happens he had xbox live and everything on it, so i decide hey, might as well set it up and i can play some stuff online and whatever. I have the xbox hooked up to my modem directly, but it wont seem to connect. The power, and recieve lights are solid, but the send light is blinking. Everything is hooked up fine, but it just wont connect to xbox live, and my modem cant make a connection. I chcked the site and i did everything fine. My only idea is maybe to use a router, but right now i dont have access to one. Is that my problem? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
My friend was running his xbox live through a router by the way.

it didn't work for me at first, then it did... I dunno why.
Hey, just so as not to make another thread, I had to return my xbox because it was busted. Can I get my XBL account onto another xbox?

Using the Account Recovery, or if you can save the account on your current xbox to a memorey card.

Hey, quick question, is the xbox by the computer cable outlet??? Just curious because it was on mine and it wouldn't work until I moved it in my bedroom.

U do have cable right??? LIke u pay for it? Just curious, maybe ur cable provider isn't accepting. Also, try entering ur ip information and all that stuff in the xbox.
NVM, i know your problem....
This is what you are going to have to do. The information stored in the xbox is set to his ip and such, you are going to have to re enter your ip, address, and all the other stuff. The xbox is confused, it's programmed for his ip, but it's goin through yours.

Ok ok ok. I know your problem. If you are using a direct connection your pc will need to be turned off. After you turn it off you will need to unplug you modem. Leave it turned off for thirty seconds. Then turn it on after you plug it in and plug the ethernet in the xbox. If this does not work pm me I will gladly help you.

Yeah, if they are on automatic, turn off the xbox and cable modem, wait 5 minutes * I think* then turn the xbox on and turn the cable modem on. It should start up.
