Oblivion. Oh my god!
I got Oblivion yesterday. My friend got it for 360, I got PC. First off, it's incredible, indescribably awesome. I can't even begin to tell how incredible the game is, the screenshots that were officially released suck, they don't even show the nicer parts of the game. The combat is nothing like Marrowind's simple and boring combat system. It's intense, with timed blocking, stuns, recoil, and all sorts of **** that makes you feel like you actually did just block the axe of the guy infront of you with your shield.
There's also great physics and ragdolls, and you can pick up and throw objects similar to that of HL2. Almost every single piece of the environment is interactable.
Second, it's more fun on PC, but it's still not bad on the 360. It is a game that can be played well with a controller.
Absolutely awesome. If your computer can handle it, or you have a 360, get up right now and go buy this game.

Yeah you can customize every single aspect of your characters facial appearance. Things like jaw width, nostril size, eye angle, cheek bones, everything.

I was thinking about getting it for my 360 but ghost recon advanced warfighter has me currently entertained. I'll probably pick it up when it gets cheaper in like a year.

I'll only play it if it's online play. I don't see the point in making a character if its single player. Don't get me wrong, it still looks great, but yeah.

Oblivion has taken over an entire day of my life. 24 hours of play time in one week, I need to take a rest. I've got back to 30mins of GRAW for the 360 a night.

I have neglected everything in my life to play this game, and I continue to do so, this is the first time I have even been on firefox since my last post. And I'm kicking ass. People who play: What type of character do you have? How are you doing? What are you up to? etc..

Here is some quotes that show how cool the AI are. Not a bunch of dumbasses like morrowwind.
Quote:
I was in a weapons shop. Decided to pull out my sword and start hitting stuff off the table. The tip of the sword hit the shopkeeper. She pulls out a mace and charges. I run outside, she follows. When we get outside there is a guard about 20ft away. As we are running she swings at me, hits him. He pulls out his bow and starts chasing her. Soon 4 other bow guards join in.
They get a couple of shots in and she really starts running trying to get away. She's running, 5 guards are trailing her in a single file line, with me trying to watch. Eventually they corner her at the side of a building and form a circle and start UNLOADING on her. Pulling their bows back really far and just nailing the crap out of her. This goes on for a good 20 seconds. All you hear is "thwack" dozens of times. She gives a final yell and down goes down. She looks like porcipine with all the arrows sticking out of her. As I start to loot the body, one of the guards puts away his bow, calmly looks at me, and says "Good day"

In the Imperial City, go to the docks, and you will see a pirate ship docked. If you get close to the ship and the first mate sees you, she will approach you and warn you not to get close to her ship, or she will run you through. Naturally, I took this as a challenge.
So I walked back until I was in the shadows and she quit paying attention to me. After a minute or so, her and one of the crew members got into an argument about getting some food. It was settled when one of the crew members finally said something like "Fine, I'll go get some food!" (Not exact words)
That seemed to make everyone happy, and the one that said it walked off. I stayed in the shadows waiting, and sure enough, after a couple more minutes the crew member came back. When he came back, all the other crew members and the first mate gathered around the one with the food. So I took the opportunity to sneak by them and get onto their ship. Went through the whole thing and looted what was decent (surprisingly little, although the Captain's chest had a few decent gems).
The whole looting process didn't take too long, so I figured they were still busy eating, and snuck back out. Of course, they had finished eating, and were just as surprised to see me coming out of their hold as I was to see them standing on the deck of the ship. Being that there were 5 of them and only one of me, I immediately summoned a headless zombie to keep them busy and ran like hell.
The zombie distracted 3 of them, but 2 were still chasing me. I ran towards the center of the city, where I knew there were guards. The guards saw the pirates chasing me, and started shooting the pirates with arrows, who imediately started attacking the guards in return. With me helping, the guards wasted no time in slaughtering the pirates, who I promptly looted.
The guards were a bit ticked off about the attack, and talked to each other about going on patrol. I followed them on their route, and they went right to the pirate ship. The 3 pirates who had been distracted by my zombie earlier saw me, and started attacking me. The two guards saw this, and started attacking the pirates. After the fight was over, only one guard and myself were left. So I got to loot the other 3 pirate boides, and one guard.
