Photographers

Well my mom just bought a Canon Rebel XT/350D and ive been wanting to get into photography for a while now so i figure nows a good time to start.

Im looking for any tips I can on how to make my pictures look nicer.

Any input or websites you can give me will be appreciated.

So photographers of PBF help me out if you can.

Huge free stock photography site. Also has tips. You can upload your shots there and see what people think of them.

Edit: I'm so jealous of you. I have a Canon S Series, and it's nice and all, but I'm looking for something better now. I'm trying to convince my mom to buy a Rebel XT EOS instead of senior pictures for me, but she's winning the battle.

try opening the aperture a bit wider and making the shutter speed faster. this would help correct some of the motion blur, as well as let you get the full subject into focus, such as in the second picture where only the head is focused. also, look into getting a tripod if you don't have one already, really helps for low-light/slow shutter shots.

Shoot shoot shoot. Also, look online at other people's work. Post up and we'll help you. You can get me on aim at capozzoli58 to help you. I'm not on a lot though. PM would work.

Best way to improve is to shoot as much as you can.

Don't use the camera's auto functions. I recommend using Aperture Priority or Manual. Of course it depends what you're shooting. Also, use a tripod whenever you can. It forces you to think more about your shot and composition.
