Calling out NYY and DBD now..

I wanna try and do some cool depth of field pictures this weekend. I tried to at school.. but it didn't work out. I don't have a tripod, hopefully I can rig something where I don't need to hold the camrea.

At school, I tried aperature 22 and shutter speed 1 or 2 and it didn't work the whole picture was still in focus. This was in regular photography though, not with a Digital.

I played around with the Rebel XTI I borrowed from school and set it on a high aperature but the whole picture just turned up being white?

Help would be appreciated.

If it turned up white, you've got too much light coming in. make shutter speed shorter.

You're talking about this sort of thing tho, right?

With digital you can just cheat and do it in some editing program

I actually didn't mean to but I got a good one of my sister while we were on vacation this summer that does this somewhat....
