well it appears i downloaded a nasty piece of something off limewire today... when my comp boots i dont have ne thing on my desktop and the start menu and toolbar are gone.

Is there ne way i can run a system restore from the windows taskmanager or is there ne thing else i can do?

I dont have recovery disks..

Im running xp on an xps 400

tried safe mode? if you can get into that, you could prolly do a sys restore.

^ agree when it boots up it should give you the option of safe mode. if you need help on sys restore just post again.
