Hey, I am about to get an Apple ID so I can start downloading songs from Itunes, and I was wondering if there is some sort of monthly payments for it, or is it a charge-by-purchase for the songs to your credit card thing? Because I have no money on it now, and I don't want it to charge like, a maintenance fee or monthly fee and throw me in the negative.

its pay per song. You dont get charged unless you download the song...

I dont know why you'd pay for them when you can just torrent them.

They take out a buck when you start, just to make sure your credit card works. I'm pretty sure you get it back eventually, but maybe not.
