Let me start of by saying I hate Windows Vista. I bought this laptop a year ago with 64 bit Ultimate on it, and even with that version I hated it. Microsoft "reinvented" the wheel, ie changed everything for no apparent reason. Rather than clamp down and relearn it all, I started looking for alternatives. After dabbling a bit with Ubuntu (which is the standard OS on my desktop now

) I decided to stick XP back on my laptop, simply because it was too hard to find homebrewed and modded drivers for my laptop's uberleet hardware *cough*. Anyways, I was thinking about putting Ultimate back on the laptop within the next few days, even Dl'd an ISO from Utorrent (still have the CD key) of the 64 Ultimate, but then I decided to reskin XP for kicks and giggles. Rather than stop there, I did a pretty much clean overhaul of XP, so now it looks like Vista, without any of the hassles. I particularly love RocketDock, makes using my shortcuts much easier, and has literally breathed new life into a (for me, at least) slowly dying Operating System.

Btw, has anyone else done this? If so, feel free to post up pics and/or suggestions of programs/utils/tools that are useful.
