The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is without a doubt the most comprehensive, "makes sense", complete, fully interactive storyline ever created. Just because it actually takes a decent number of braincells to win and there are so many side quests that add to the richness of the story.
Sorry, Halo fanboys (and girls), but Halo 1 doesn't come close. Simply because going in rambo-style with guns blazing to just shoot stuff and nothing else doesn't take that much intelligence. Sure, the story is cool and it makes sense, but it's completely independent from what you do in the game. All you basically do throughout the game is kill, kill kill and then comes a cutscene. A story is only as good as how much you do as the player to actually determine the outcome.
...and don't even get me started on Halo 2. With the giant talking Venus Flytrap that story is as *****d up as me going to Baghdad for college. Doesn't make any flippin sense.

ocarina of time = bestest ever
and as much of a halo fangirl i am, i would never say it has an even semi-decent plot to it
